The automatic system pictured here was built for British Sugar at Wissington plant in Norfolk. The Pallet Inverter is loaded with forklift truck. The forktruck operator then starts the process with remote controls attached to the forktruck.

The pallet is clamped and the load. The load then rotates 180 degrees and unclamps. A pusher then moves the load onto a push pull system on the forktruck. The pallet is held in the Pallet Inverter by clamps. Once the load is in place the forktruck reverses away. The operator then restarts the Pallet Inverter.

It rotates back 180 degrees then releases the pallet onto a powered conveyor. If the pallet is in the wrong orientation it will then be turned prior to entering a Pallet Stacker. This will take up to 10 pallets. Once achieved it will dispense down the conveyor where they are retrieved by forktruck. British Sugar loads containers where the pallets are not required. This system eliviates all manual handling for them and of course increases productivity.
